The Author

This blog is made publicly by a fifteen year old Bulacan-based Senior student. (Other private facts are kept confidential.) This blog is to shelter his rants, to record his everyday life and to share his opinions to the rest of the world. His objective was simple: he loves writing, and he wanted to pour down his talents here – that is, if he has the talent.

He started blogging last December 10, 2005. He got a small space at Blogspot: a free-hosting service for blogs. Since then, he had embraced the culture of blogging and told himself to continue his love for writing; somehow to be proud of himself and to go against his father’s will – who abandoned his artistic side of making journals and poems. Utakgago speaks for himself; the name somehow depicts himself as a guy filled with stupidity, irony, and the shits of life.

For him, blogging is not about popularity. It’s much greater than posting what your IPods contain, much greater than the pictures you upload and show to the world. It’s greater than what your posts have. It’s about self-sharing. It’s about giving your daily doses of problems, of disappointments, of happiness to this online diary and somehow be contented with what you’ve done.
Yeah, I’m weird.

The name Utakgago came from the words ‘Utak’ which means brain (or the mind), and ‘Gago’ – a Filipino slang (and a bad word) that means ‘asshole’. The combination actually came from nowhere. It just did. Since then, people began to question why the name is Utakgago – opposing the posts’ content which has (according to them) sense. I have no idea on how to answer that.

He named himself Utakgago at his third Blogspot blog, telling himself to conceal his real identity since his sisters or family relatives. Though the earlier readers of his blogs, and the chatters he entertain know him online; the suspense is still alive.

Well, his wish would be a personalized domain.
