  6. Sabi daw ng iba hindi totoo, kasi ang OA daw niya or something. But I have a feeling it’s true. Not every Filipina who reports being raped by an American is a liar and an attention-hog. Maybe this time it is true. If it is true, ang sama naman ng iba na kumakampi pa sa Amerikano tas yung kababayaan pa yung sinisiraan. :P

    Mukhang ewan si GMA no-reaction nung nilipat ng custody si Smith. :) ) Too focused yata sa ASEAN.

    With Redg, I am quite disappointed with her ‘no-comment’ reaction when it comes to the custody change of Smith.

    That is, if the story’s true.

    My prof in philo illustrated something, kumuha sya ng papel tapos binutas nya. Ang sabi nya, ‘ang isang papel hindi magpapabutas kung ayaw nya’.
    bakit ba kasi sya nagpakalasing in the first place? bakit sya sumama? nagsumbong ba sya agad right after narape sya? Hindi naman sa kumakampi ako sa mga amerikano pero she’s OA kasi. ewan ko ba, may duda lang talaga ako sa mga nangyari.

    According to our DC moderator, who also had her own share of experience with harassment, it is only in the end that the victim would realize that they (the rapists) are doing that “THING”.. It’s like being hypnotized… or something. Bringing you in different places.

    The “victim” got herself drunk in the first place, then she’s complaining that she got her in a gang rape situation. Huh?

    On second thought, I think her side of the story is true,. Maybe she did a good job persuading the public or she really is speaking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in a bit hostile way. Who knows? The public has no idea what is really the truth… And neither do I.

    There. Just giving my thoughts on this.

  12. from what i’ve heard, NICOLE willingly tagged along. meaning, sumama talaga siya for a gimik with the Americans. the thing is, after they ‘fooled’ around, tinapon lang si Nicole sa daan.

    we will never know if Nicole really wanted to fool around with Daniel, in the 1st place, if matinong babae siya, hindi siya dapat sumama sa kanila. but the thing is, when they rudely threw her off after they had fun, YUN, yun ang kasalanan nina Daniel.

    Ewan! i think to say that she was raped is not really credible, knowing she went with them willingly. kasi naman, wala naman yatang kaso na ‘TAKING ADVANTAGE’ lang, hehe.

  15. hmm.. just a thought – if u put urself into a certain situation, you should be able to handle the consequences, whatever they may be, and not claim that you are without fault.

    injustice? hmmm.. i dont think so. if anything, it may have been rape. but technically, it wasnt exactly RAPE RAPE.. if u get my drift.. hehe *blah*

  16. as what my mom would say, we have smith to blame for what happened, but that’s not tantamount to saying that nicole has nothing to do with it. hehe. Even if she is a fellow Zamboangueña, we (me in particular) don’t totally “support” her. She hasn’t even garnered the “talk of the town” status. :)

  18. i can’t comment on the truth because i do not know more than what i can read in the news or hear as gossip. but what i hate is how other groups would latch their own special interests into this. all the more reason to be cynical on how everything has turned out so far.

  21. i think that nicole was a willing partner… but was enraged to the core by the impulsive and brash move of the americans to leave her on the side of the road.. that was the dealbreaker.. i don’t believe that she was raped…i dont know why.. maybe it’s because i dont see her face.. hence..i do not have a gauge whether to trust her or not..

    HAHA. Anyhoo, on about the rape thing being true or not… Uh, I dunno. I would like to believe that it isn’t, maybe she just can’t believe that she got into that mess with that Corporal – just because of liquor. Maybe she needed an excuse to get the dirty deed out of her hands.

    But who knows? Mine’s just an opinion. ^_^

    I still think, though (even if the rape is true or not), that having that Corporal out of our country is a tad bit unfair.

    I won’t talk about politics. I have biased views, eh. HAHA.

    1st of all, Nicole is not from Zamboanga and neither is her family… Taga Dumaguete daw sila or sumthing, galit na galit daw sa kanila ung mga taga Zamboangga…

    2nd, The court should also see “Nicole’s” History.. From what my tito told us.. She went to Zamboangga to find an American Papa… At malamang, duon na rin siya naging isang Prostitute..

    3rd is Bakit siya napunta sa Subic kung taga Zamboangga siya to start with? Probably to find more Papas..

    4th Syempre, alam naman niyang grupo ng Kalalakihan na iyon, mga foreigner at mga sundalo pa, bat siya pumayag na makiinom kasama nila? Pfft… Pitiful..

    sympre, what would the american soldiers expect from here? Talagang magagawa nila yun..

  43. sabi nung socsci2 prof ko, rape daw yun since she didn’t have her rational faculties. hello. lasing yung tao. sabi nga nung chem instructor ko, pag lasing ka, hindi mo na napipigilan yung pinaggagagawa mo.

    also, hindi naman siguro xa pokpok. addu nga eh. malas lang nia na nalasing xa. malas na lang nia na may napagtripan xa.

    at hindi xa narape? naman. ano yun, aksidente lang yung nangyari? hindi alam nung kano yung ginagawa nia?

    saka hindi naman mali na palakihin yung issue. oo, maraming nararape. but the fact na marami sila doesn’t make rape any less evil. just because marami sila, it doesn’t mean people should stop making a fuss over it. hindi pwedeng magpakastoic ka na lang. hindi pwedeng wala ka ng gagawin.
