Pirates.
In the never-updated movie scene here in the Philippines were the Hollywood movies which are aired long ago in U.S. I’ve seen The Covenant and its site; it was premiered in States last September. I’ve been loving its trailer when we watched Cake. DVDs, expectedly, would be selling the newest movies in America that would hit Philippines after two months.
I borrowed The Covenant DVD from a batchmate awhile ago. The fact that it was still labeled as COMING SOON in theatres, it’s affordable enough to watch it in the house earlier than what the public expects. So I turned on the television, plugged in the DVD player and on with my movie marathon.
The suspense didn’t kill me.
What killed me is the DVD itself. It disappointed me to the point that I want to smash it or crack it into hundreds of bits of pure waste. The movie was, literally, chopped into pieces. The voices were chopped, the video was more of a kaleidoscope than a thriller. I turned off the television and told myself not to borrow pirated DVDs! Waste of time, but at least – not a waste of money for me.
I took my Periodic Test in P.E today and Football was hard.
That’s it. I’m done. (6:11 AM of November 7 – tinatamad pumasok but I’d be going to school at 7.)

first!
good morning!
Ang ganda ng traler ng The Covenant. :> Napanood ko dun sa thingy ng Skycable. Haha.
Kami kapag bumibili ng pirated tn-test muna namin kung ayos. Haha. Kapag hindi na talaga makapaghintay ng original copy or walang pera pang-sine dun na kami bumibili.
Nasa comp lab kame. Sheir.
Maganda sa trailer, pero according to critics, the movie was not that great. check mo sa metacritic.com
One word:
DRECK.
We stopped buying/borrowing pirated VCD/DVDs since 2004. WE support the anti-piracy policies for movies, particularly for the Philippine ones. You might be surprised to see me on TV with the MTRCB dealing with the implementation of these infringement issues. Share ko lang.
haha…:) sa amin, hindi binabasa ng dvd player ang pirated stuff..hehe…:) that’s why i’d rather watch the movie sa movie house o kaya hihintayin ko talaga siyang lumabas sa vcd/dvd tapos i-rerent ko na lang sa video city o video one..:D
Say no to piracy, say yes to practicality!
Pirated VCD/DVD really sucks. Pero wala tayong magagawa, mahirap ang buhay e. Not all people can afford to buy original VCD/DVD’s, especially the poor ones.
Hmm.. sabi nila trailer lang daw ang maganda sa ‘The Covenant’, dunno if it’s true.
can’t wait to see the movie of course at the movies pra sulit.. ^_^ hehee
What do you expect? It’s pirated. Hahaha
It’s some lame-ass dude bringing a low quality video camera to the theatres and probable putting it in his stomach so that no one can see that he’s recording. That’s why sometimes it’s always safer and worth it to go to the theatres. LOL
You haven’t made daan to my blog. Hmmpf
musta na?
di ako bumibili o nanghihiram ng pirated dvds kasi pinapagalitan ako ng tito kong polis. hehe.
ingats!
Heh. Pirated videos are crappy.
will you please stop the no sense thing. its so making me mad. shut up!!!!!!!!
so what about that?
hmmm…i never watch pirated DVDs. I usually go to movie houses if and only if I know that the movie seems great.
I buy it when I missed it for like uhh, three months (or even longer) after its release. Those are like DVD copies na so money isn’t wasted and enjoy. I like watching movies at home din naman
Pero, there are movies that I want to catch in theaters and worth it naman even if it’s a hundred and plus plus now.
what’s the problem – rosa pamela????
ade, you’re right. pirated dvds are sure crappy. but it’s practicality, as what eiss said.
whatever.
