Knock. Knock.

There goes the knock-knock of our maid.

I realized that I’ve been craving for chocolates nowadays, that I cooked champorado just to control my obsession with sweets. I toppled India, Scandinavia, and the Hittites at my quest for World Domination in Civilization III: just another geek game. I got three things scheduled up tomorrow. Plus the five projects waving their hands to me. It’s my official one-week break, and the whole Philippine community knows that. But our maid proved me wrong when she knocked at my door and asked me one little question that made my fierce eyes alive, once again.

May pasok ka ba ngayon?

Wala. *closes the door*

Okay, I sound like Cofibean hating his maids - but this one increases my temper. Spare me the patience to understand them. It’s the greatest question ever, really. I want to pommel her head, or maybe I’d make a poster at my door that shouts – ‘AT SEMBREAK! No Classes for 1 week!’ Thank the maids because in one swish of a moment, all the fragments of my dream fell into pieces, then dissolved by my brain. Well, I remember some of it.

I was happily walking through the cemented pathways, screaming my lungs out. Imagine, my Dad would give me all his birthrights since his legacy would be continued by me! Imagine, I am not an honor student in High School but I nailed it. I even got a better rank at the test results than the honor students in our batch.

I passed UPCAT daw, and I am so happy and so proud of myself. I’d buy the loudest megaphone and announce to everyone that I passed UPCAT daw.

And I guess, I’m smiling while I’m dreaming of this crap.

It’s so convincing that it moved me to dream on, and dream more, and sleep more and let this dream continue until my real life is a dream and this dream became my life. Not until the maids knocked at my door and asked me one obvious question. Hmm. I know for a fact that I have no chance of passing that entrance exam, but trying isn’t really bad at all. That’s the least thing I could do.

Oh, dreams are the opposite of the truth.

Umm, right. I hope I could have better dreams tonight! And sue the maids.

ganyang ganyan din yung tanong sakin nung maid namin.. as in manggigising pa sya tsk3.. kainis

  3. pray that you wont dream about the maid, err…househelp (I guess it is the most appropriate and politically correct address) feeding you some belgian chocolate while your head is on her lap as she asks you “may pasok ka ba ngayon?”

    pray…

and a piece advise. don’t be cruel to them. one of them might sick in the head and will sprinkle poison on your food and you know what happens next.

  4. wow ang saya naman ng panaginip mo!! maniwala ka na lang sa bulok ngunit [minsa'y] nagkakatotoo ring kasabihan na “dreams do come true”, dreams there meaning panaginip o ambisyon. haha. :D

  5. Tama ka rin, Bananas. Well, wala naman akong sinasabi or ginagawang katarantaduhan laban sa kanila. Saloobin ko lang ang pagkainis sa kanila…

Paghent, asa pa ko. Asa pa. Asaaa.

Mara – hindi mo ba nabasa yung post? Ang kulit.

    Hehehehe.

  7. hakhak! namiss ko blog mo ah! syempre tamang maid na naman maabutan ko! you what, nanaginip ako last month na nanalo ako sa lottery, serious, pero di pa ako nananalo, papaano di naman ako tumataya! lolz! enwei, i hope and pray na magkatotoo yung panaginip mo. dreams can sometimes be real! :)

  8. Dreams are not entirely the opposite of the truth. Unless you want it to. Naku, tinatakot?

I congratulate you in advance for passing (hopefully) UPCAT and for making me drool over the chocolates. Aaaarghh.. CHOOOOCOOLLAAATE! (-fish in Spongebob Squarepants)

    —–
Haha, icebreaker. Like, duh? Hahaha. Or maybe you didn’t tell them your sem break is gonna last for a week. Lol.

I remember, nagkaroon rin pala kami ng katulong in my gradeschool years. sobra rin sila makanood ng TV at ang baba ng common sense. And take note, lumayas pala sila ng kanilang house in manila and hid themselves in our residence here in cavite. But after wrecking our doors for the nth time, we searched their families’ whereabouts and pissed their hell out of our crib, dude.

  9. Yna is now the Whore.

    gosh. ang tagal…ko.

ahaha. kamustasa, gago? [sorry, utakgago pala]

you’re so cruel. wag masyado mainit ulo. nyay.

and dreams? man, they’re dreams. we can’t live without it. it’s a sustenance. too bad most of it don’t come true.

  10. Ang sungit mo naman na amo! Hahaha! Joke lang.

Your dream might be a complete opposite or a premonition. Ganun din kasi ako minsan e. :P

  11. Yeah, dreams are really opposite of the truth. It sucks when you were dreaming of something good then the maids will disturb you by asking some stupid question. arrgghh… good thing we don’t have a maid!

  12. wahahaha..I agree that dreams are opposite of the truth..I experienced that already..I dreamt that we would pass the next Physics quiz but alas, almost all of us failed the next day…

sayang, maganda pa naman ang mood ko!! :p

  13. Nakakalito yung mga panaginip. They say that what you dream about is what you actually want. Even though you won’t admit it. Ehh. Hindi ako naniniwala dun! Hahaha. Saya naman kung totoo yun diba?

Hmm. Chocolaaate. Ako kahit kailan gusto ko ng chocolate. :)

  14. Ok na yun, kahit man lang sa panaginip mo nagawa mo ang bagay na iyun. nasa sa iyo pa rin naman yan kung makakapasa ka, basta do the best that you can.

  15. procrastination is the thief of time pare. HAHAHAHA.
    Haha. libre mangarap. wehness.

i passed upcat daw. HAHAHA BENTA!
    ako next year pa.. *gulp*
X_X sana kitakits tyo sa UP no?
    hahahahhahaha
    ang labo ng comment ko.

  18. you passed UPCAT? OMG! CONGRATS!!!!!!! *shakes your hand violently.*

violently? you’re one lucky dude. :)

about the comment thing, my haloscan’s still there.

  19. actually you dream about the things that you like to happen or dread about, fantasize and stuff. read somewhere that it is you subconscious way of filling, sort of satisfying your (hidden) desires.

dreams are not actually kabaliktaran or something.

  20. i hope that you really pass UPCAT. haha.

sabi nila, what you dream of is oftentimes more important than what you think of when you are awake. well, i guess dreaming that you passed the UPCAT has a very important implication in your life.

    goodluck!

  21. wow! nakapasa ka ng UPCAT? COngrats! ANg talino mo talaga!

pano pala malalaman ang result ng exams?

    congrats ulit.

  22. Hindi ka nagbabasa, mikmik.

Hehe, there’s no harm in dreaming, and hindi naman sila laging opposite ng katotohanan. There are times – many, in fact – that dreams do come true. :)

Anyway, I missed your blog. Nagawa na sa wakas computer ko. Yey.

PS. I thought babalik ka sa Blogspot?

  25. libre mangarap! haha. ako rin, mangangarap na. XD goodluck sa upcat! :D gooo! pag nakapasa ka, BLOW OUT! yaaay! haha. XD

  26. sana nga pumasa ka, o diba ;) most of my dreams come true, malay mo yung sayo rin. :)

  27. Jenny – are you sure that MOST of it becomes true? Now you’re luuuucky.
