The Splak of a Cockroach.

What happened last Sunday?

  • I attended to my Parish Involvement in Bocaue church; the choir is hired for singing in a wedding, so I attended. Later, we are invited to eat at the reception in OUR school’s gymnasium. Weird. A gymnasium filled with round tables and satin cloths and candles isn’t that nice. But I enjoyed their Tenderloin Steak, and Lechong Baboy.
  • Then, after the reception – we attended to Theo’s birthday at Rock Castle. This medieval-ish place had a great atmosphere especially for a birthday bash. Well, Theo’s concept of his birthday is the movie First Day High. I don’t know what the movie suggests, but I wore black. I sang Jeepney (by Spongecola) with the hired band – The Silence. I just love my performance and I’m missing my good old days with my band.
  • I’ve seen a cockroach along McArthur Highway. While it was crossing the road, it was dead on the spot by the tires of a jeepney. The sound ’splak’ was audible, like a fish cracker or something. Now, I’m loving the sound of a dead cockroach!

I’m reading Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk over the Internet. It’s called an Ebook, if I am not mistaken. Though it disobeys laws of books: illegal distribution of copies, redistribution, and the stuff – I still think that these free-to-read books are advantageous especially for an allowance-deprived (am I?) student who lives in a Catholic country where Dan Brown and Chuch Palahniuk’s literary works were often kept or expelled to the masses.

Yesterday, I answered a Sudoku at the back page of our Math Magazine. Sudoku is a brain-twisting, migraine-inducing game that concerns with numbers, and you know how I hate numbers. I managed to answer it, and after finishing it (with help from other classmates) – my day was blurred. Thanks for the headache.

And I am forced to join the audition of our Extemporaneous Speech Inter-School contest. Fuck. Ms. Abadilla, our English Teacher voluntarily campaigned me over the faces of strict English teachers. And I am not prepared, since it was a suprise – read: extemporaneous.

Fuck my English Teacher! She made the worst decision of her life. And her worst mistake, ever. *Fingers crossed that I’ll not be qualified in the audition. Speeches are not my type.*

  2. i hate cockroaches but i’m not afraid of them… that’s why i’m so familiar with the sound of a cockroach being smacked… last night, before it rained, i had killed about five roaches inside our house….
    eBooks are great… though i don’t read books that much… i downloaded some eBooks…just in case i’m bored and i’ve got nothing to do… maybe reading them will be worth my time…
    i’ve never tried answering a sudoku… and i never will… since i know that i will just get frustrated in the end…
    (argh… i hate my cousin…. he’s been playing the piano while i’m typing… and argh… he doesn’t even know any composition… imagine how much headache he causes me…)….

  3. ebooks are only illegal if you distribute or sell it, so don’t worry about it.

    Oh my, that sadako… er sudoku thing, i terribly hate numbers. better be killing me than do those things!

  7. haizzz sa wakas andito na ako sa comment page.. mejo dumugo ilong ko sa post mo.. extemporaneous.. teka i-sisave ko lang sa memory ko… haha… grabe daming activities ahh… gatherings and parties.. and epal ng buhay bat kung kelan sembreak wala kaming mga ganyan kung kelan may pasok punong-puno ung sched ko huhuhu… ayun cockroach??? eeek… takot ako sa mga insekto lalo na ipis na lumilipad waah… sige na buhbye nahh!!!

    ayoko rin ng mga ipis pero nakakatuwa yung tunog pag napipisat ang ipis..

    ayoko ng sudoku kasi hindi ko gusto ang mga numero at lagi iyong sakit ng ulo sakin…

    naranasan ko nang mag-audition sa extemporaneous speaking contest at buti nlang, di ako pumasa!

  19. waah i love squishing cockroaches. there’s just something about stepping on them then twisting your foot and seeing the white gooey liquid come out so — addicting. haha, weird, i know.

    i cant get myself to finish a sudoku puzzle. i love numbers, pero wala akong patience para dun. haha =)

    anyway, good luck on the extempo! my english teacher chose me as an extempo speaker way back in my freshman year and i swear i wanted to puke right then and there. but i managed to finish it — i can’t remember what i said though. haha. masyadong knabahan.

    You write well, you look obnoxious enough and it will be very pathetic if you can’t speak well so I will be very flabbergasted if you’re not the best in your school. Go win that and shove it everyone’s face. Just like what I did. haha
