I know you heard the cooking show “A taste of life – with Heny Sison”, right? But this has nothing to do with our topic… it is about the ‘tastes of life’, whether if its sweet or bitter, or other flavors of life.
But what about it? What’s the big deal about it? We all know we do things and accept it like an everyday habit, something we always do. But experiencing it gives a ‘twist’ – a challenge in our life to swallow… it is our FORETASTE and our AFTERTASTE. Simply by eating, we use our spoon and fork to fill the spoon with food and put it in the mouth and swallow it… and then another, till you get full. Very basic, almost everyone knows how to eat.
Though not everyone realize the foretaste and aftertaste. Not only in eating, but in doing things to make our life better – studying is the hardest thing to do for us, students. It sucks! When the first time we feel it, we tasted it (foretaste) and we feel like it’s so exciting to study. But as we get the real flavor of it, we encounter these hindrances that changes the taste of studying to a bit sour – or giving an unlikely feeling. Boring teachers make studying worse, and the bullies (like me!) and those who are pissing us off. Though friends add sweetness to it, still, it should be balanced. Aftertaste is the result, when we realize what this studying is, this thing that will make our lives – worthy and successful.
Now, it has come to an end. Life and its subtopics have its foretaste (first impression) and the aftertaste (the end, result – where we got full of its lessons and realizations.) But always remember to be optimistic, don’t just be a quitter.
