It was my first time joining in our famous Glee Club. Singing isn’t my real career, it is my hobby. Though I’d like to make it my career sooner in time. It was the end of November when the Glee Club (headed by Mr. Alejandro Manuel) planned to go to CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines) to watch the NAMCYA – I don’t really know the exact meaning of it, though it is a contest between seven groups and their seven glorious songs.
At the start of the program, I listened to every performer and felt their wonderful voices. I was in awe of them.. they were really good. Not much like in our club, we are still starters – still students, still young. Though NAMCYA is a choral youth association. Our voices should still be harnessed. It was my pleasure to go to CCP in Manila – this is yet my first time ever. This also served as a bonding between our so called ‘gleeclub-mates’, or our groupmates. We became close to each other and to our master – Sir Al. It was a joyride – at least we have a little background about choral singing, and also inspires us to do our best.
On our way home, I felt thankful for this opportunity to watch that event, maybe other people would really think it was boring – but it was cool and fun!
The image there was a part of the Glee Club – Raxenne Maniquiz, Alex Baniqued, Josephine Gerona, Kevin Bautista (that’s me!), Marvin Villareal, Justine Santiago, Marlon Teodosio, Cherry Rose Reyes (she wasn’t a member of the Glee Club, though we recruited her..), Anne Rhealene Dalmacio, Evangeline Cruz, Paul Kevin Lim, Yves Lauren Ramos and lastly, Anne Bernadette Santos.
Just like to thank Evangeline Cruz for having this picture. It was from friendster. Thanks!
